Have you ever broken a controller?

Yeah. I'm ashamed to say I've broken controllers. Sometimes through wear and tear in the old days of Genesis and PSX but I have broken a PS2 controller and 2 PS3 controllers. Though I've gotten very good at fixing controllers. I had always fixed my PS3 controllers. My main one worked fine until it finally wore out. I'm not using another PS3 controller I repaired :)

I've broken an original Dualshock while moving a couch. Sometime later I broke a PS1 when I got upset and pulled the controller. Everything fell except for the TV.

Well I've done that before with a PS1. Thank goodness Sony actually made those durable enough.

I've never just thrown or broken a controller, but I used to chew on the cord during intense moments or when I was getting frustrated and would fray that part. Plenty of my old controllers have tape around the cord. :(

I'm embarrassed to say I have. It was back on the PS1 with the original Tomb Raider. I can't remember exactly what happened to cause me to do it but the end result was me grasping the controller so tight in my hands and twisting in opposite directions that I actually cracked it in half. Games used to make me really quick to anger but thankfully I've got over that as I've grown up.

Nothing to be ashamed of. The PS1 controllers were subjected to plenty of abuse. They weren't the most durable of the Dualshock family, but it earned its stripes.

I did break controllers when I was a kid. I was immature and like to throw tantrums, I also didn't know or appreciate the meaning of value. I tend to get angry at games very easily then so each time I rage quit, I'll throw the controller onto the floor. Did that multiple times and one time the controller finally broke. Good thing was that there were 3rd party controllers that were cheap, I bought a new one for just $15. Now that I'm all grown up, breaking controllers no longer is in my dictionary.

All of my PlayStation controllers have been nothing but good to me. My GameCube controllers, however, were not so lucky. Wore down the analog sticks to a nub.

SpaceTiger quit throwing shade on Razor.

This thread seems to have headed in the direction of a police interrogation :D

It really has lol. SpaceTiger stays on everyone and everything's case: Razor, Amazon Instant Video, everything.

In COD4 I was going for the Mile High trophy, was so close and got killed. Broke my control and my door.

I just broke the rubbery thing off of my left joystick on my controller -- PS3, not the 4. Still might need to stop playing a little bit...

Never broke a controller by getting angry, but then again I pay for my things so I'd just be screwing myself.
