What was the last movie you watched?

Searching for Sugar Man - 7/10

Couldn't really pick anything to watch so I was just browsing Foxtel and randomly picked this one. Glad I did because this was pretty fascinating. Hadn't heard of the story or anything before but it was pretty good and had me staying till the end. It is a documentary about a group of people trying to find a musician from the early 70's who only had one or two albums and then disappeared off the earth. No-one knew anything about him. He was a total mystery. There were even rumours that he had killed himself on-stage. I won't spoil anything though. Recommended.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 8/10

I adore all Spiderman films (yes, even Spider-Man 3 - I just ignore that "dance" scene ;)) and this one was just as good as the rest... I think?

I'm a little torn with this one. Something seemed missing. The story was great. Each character was great. The chemistry between Peter and Gwen is phenomenal. But I don't know. The trailer showed waaaayyyyy too much. Literally. Like 80% of the film is in that trailer. Electro was a great bad guy as well as Green Goblin, but Rhino (who is in it for what - 3 minutes?) I could tell was just a last minute decision. You know, as I'm writing this, I am pretty sure I know why I'm mixed about this one... the darn trailers. I only watched the first two, but as I said it showed everything. EVERYTHING! So please, if you haven't watched the trailers yet, don't watch them! I would of loved this much more had I not seen the trailers.

I know my "review" seems negative, but it's not. I would probably even consider it the best Spider-Man film yet. Oh, and one more thing - am I the only one who is sick of films setting up other films?

The best Spiderman yet eh? Will see..I actually prefer all the Tobey Maguire Spidey films to the first Amazing Spiderman one.
But if the Amazing Spiderman 2 is at least better than the first, then it should still be OK. :o

Ah yes, the original Spider-Man (Sam Raimi's) will always have a special spot in my heart :)

Did you enjoy The Amazing Spider-Man?

The Place Beyond The Pines - 7/10

My brother had recommended me this film so I finally got around to seeing it. And it was pretty good. Great performances, fantastic story. I thought it may of ran a little too long though. Not by much but that's just me and probably my short attention span lol. Not a film you can watch over and over again, as it is not the happiest of tales. But I do recommend it as it's a good story.

Robocop 2014
Was actually a decent watch, dont compare it the orignal and you will be fine. 7.5/10

A good watch too I thought. 7.5/10

Just watched Shawshank Redemption again. Definitely one of my favourite movies of all time. Also going to see The Amazing Spider-man 2 tomorrow with some friends, hope it's a good one!

Problem with reboots is people tend to do that. Its tough to watch the newest version and keep it separate from the classic. I did want to check out Robocop and the new Red Dawn to see how they were.

Couldn't agree more to this statement. It really was truly a great movie. It was the movie that made me like Morgan Freedman. Though what is Tim Robbins doing these days?

He is one of those actors that you see only in a very few movies, but somehow he still stands out. I can't remember the last time I saw him in any other movie, still a great and maybe under appreciated actor.

The last movie I watched was on Netflix. It was called "TiMER" and was about a society that has specialized in making a matchmaking device. It was a great movie until it made it's way to the end. The ending killed the entire movie and it became utter shit in my book.

The last movie I saw was Home Front, but before that it was The Spider Man 2, Frozen and Godzilla which I actually saw at the movies.

The last movie that I watched was tears of the sun with Bruce Willis. Although I really liked the movie I must say that it had some really brutal parts in it but overall it was a really good and serious movie.

A Million Ways to Die in the West - 8/10

Very surprised I enjoyed this movie with everyone saying it wasn't very good. Lots of laugh out loud moments for me. Although it's true, most of the best bits are actually in the trailer. But there are still some great laughs not seen in the trailer. And loved the cameos from various people. Especially loved the last cameo/scene (which I won't spoil - let's just say I loved this film too). If I had to choose between this and Ted, I'd still probably choose Ted - but this wouldn't be far behind :)
