Just picked up dragon age inquisition

I get this error at times

I think this is not an error nor a glitch, Sekelani. This happens when your character is not in the idle position but in the guard position. When enemies are close to you or you are already in combat, your character grabs the weapon and gets the guard behaviour. During such actions you can't add nor modify abilities.

I does have MP. I'm not sure if it's local, online, or both. I haven't tried it out yet. From what I've seen of it, it looks like just raiding dungeons, and has nothing to do with the Main Story.

Okay guys. I've finished the game today and killed coretheus.

It's been so good. Very well done with a lot of emphasis in weapon customisation and so many side quests it distracts you on the main story lol.
It's not such a bad thing though because the side quest gain you levelling up and cool weapon crafting and power.
I made sure I did ever side quest possible and this game took me roughly 50 hours.
It's lengthy. There are a few quests I could bother doing such as finding shards..... Couldn't be bothered .
I noticed after the credits finished rolling another story unfolds. Don't wana ruin it for anyone but there is more to offer when the story ends. I haven't had time to check that out but I'll see so tonight.
I'll try the multiplayer tonight and see what it offers but I've never been the type to like multiplayer that much.
This game was amazing had a great time playing it....
Game of the year for me!!!!

Wow, you have been fast! I'm playing it very slowly because I'm loving it and I don't want to run too much. :D

You finished so fast, I think I'm stil in middle of the game. although I try hard not to finish it fast, it is so enjoyabe that i dont want it to end.

This is not normally my kind of game but my Son says i will like it (i think he really means he likes the look of it) and i am taking the plunge, i haven't played the game before so fingers crossed.

I will add my thoughts when i have played a few hours.

I had the exact same reaction before I picked it up. I only got it because of my cousin. He was on point and knew what he was talking about. This game is very strategy based and has a mind blowing story line. One of the best might I add. It's just amazing.

I have. They're co-op based sessions (4 players). They're amusing if your fellows understand that you can win only if you keep the group tight, in collaboration. In most of cases though, everyone acts like a singularity so your session lasts a couple of minutes.

Btw... I'm loving this game very much. IMO it's the best game for 2014. :-:

Told you mate. It's mind blowing.

Absolutely mind blowing. I recently found a wedding ring... uhm... it is not listed into any accessory so I guess it is good to marry someone in the game.

Leliana... here I come... lol. :grin

This game is amazing. I know once I complete I'll be starting it up again. But since I still have a few areas to clear in waiting to do the last two story missions.

It's definitely been the best game I've played in awhile and deserved winning GOTY.

I have only played an hour or so, so early thoughts.

I messed up and made my character an archer, i decided to start a new game and for some reason i did not get the option to change the look of the character but i have changed from an archer, not such a big deal if there isn't a way to change the look now.

The game-play videos i watched didn't show you having to control all the characters in fights, can you play as the main character and let the others do their own thing or is it best to control them yourself, (as i said earlier this is not my usual type of game) again its not such a big deal if you have to control them.

So in the short time i have played it i can say i am enjoying it, i can see this is going to take a long time to complete.

Welcome to the party, Max.

You can switch between characters if you want to using up and down on the dpad. It's not necessary to control each character for most fights, though, they generally do all right on their own. Just make sure you have one of each class in your party for locked doors, magical barriers, tanking, etc. There is a tactical combat mode as well, but I found it very boring and slow and only used it once.

My protip is to skip the shard collecting unless you're a completionist, and to not bother crafting unless you're deficient in a certain armor/weapon. I've spent hours making so much stuff that was useless one level later.

Anyway, enjoy the game!

Thanks for the tips, i am getting to grips with it slowly, there is so much to do and read i can see it is going to be played a lot over the Christmas period.

I would actually recommend crafting. You can create armor that is better than anything you have found and you pick up a lot of crafting materials anyway.

It all comes down to personal choice though. At least craft runes because they are less often found in the wilds and give additional damage.

I've nearly completed my first play through of the story I'm just working on clearing areas now. Will be starting fresh again for another playthrough in hard mode and then eventually Nightmare mode.
