PS4 vs. Xbox One - The Ultimate Showdown!!!

I personally feel PS4 is edging the way its had way more sales probably because its a better console its got more features etc but whats letting Xbox down is the way its more like a television and not a console.. you can watch dvds good but why didn't they add like netflix or lovefilm instead of this whole dvd thing its a poor addition if you ask me.

Moreover, what baffles me is Microsoft's absolutely obnoxious strategies and so uncalled for gimmicks for it's next gen consoles. I mean, who in their sane mind would want to watch TV on a game playing devices? Also, this whole TV Thingy is not going to work here in India. So, picking a PS4 for me and my friends was a no-brainer.

Thanks Microsoft for making the decision easier for me.

MS started their campaign at E3 in a really terrible way. Then when they realized it was a bad move they change almost everything to compete with PS4. Even though they manage to minimize the damage, a lot of people already made up their mind to jump ship on the Sony bandwagon. So i really think PS4 will be edging the Xbone on the release.

Have you seen their announcements today? Basically you can share Live Gold (like you could on the PS3) and go to your friends house, log in there and they can share Gold but the catch is your Xbox One at home can no longer share the gold once you sign in somewhere else.

Oh, and they killed the family plan so if you have more than one console you need to pay for separate subs. I have not seen what Sony's plan is on this.

Basically its way too early for me to make a decision. I never buy consoles at launch, both because I can't afford to and rather wait a year at least to see if a system is really what it promised to be, so naturally I will withhold any final judgement until at least a few months have passed from launch.
So far though I AM more interested in the PS4, mainly because I've always been more interested in Sony's 1st and 2nd party content than Microsoft's, and because MS has made some pretty horrible business decisions in the past. However, they've been trying pretty hard to rectify their mistakes in the past few months, which shows that Microsoft isn't as stupid or stubborn as people thought. There's still certain things up in the air and MS isn't completely redeemed, but you could say the same about Sony, who's been under fire by press and public until just a few years ago, and even this E3 has been kinda sneaky about their bad news (like online gameplay requiring a PS+ subscription, even though they acted cocky as hell about XBL Gold for years), so I will keep a sharp eye on them too. They might turn around and stab us (and sorta themselves) in the back too in a bit, making MS look like the lesser of two evils again. It could all be a giant bait and switch. Because that's something Sony tends to do as much as MS, if not more.

Xbox One doesn't really focus on gaming. I would characterize it as "Netflix Device" that also lets you play games. It doesn't show that Microsoft has put enough effort both on the console's development and business relationships with Game Developers (no self-publishing).

I like to enjoy my Microsoft with affirmation towards the Personal Computing unit.
Frankly speaking (in tone;) the Sony PSX (Playstation 1) was & gave me the greatest
fun I could ever have. Let's not forget that. Okay? (hehehe)

PS4 all the way for me. I am not sold on Microsoft's vision at all and don't think XBox One is for me. This after I own an XBox 360. PS4 just seems like a better product.

After all this time, with constant changes of Microsoft for the Xbox One, i will still say that the Playstation 4 got the lead like it never had before. Not even before when the first Xbox appeared it was this behind.

I'm thinking that Microsoft's big "always online" blunder earlier this year has cost them a lot of customers. Even though they backtracked on it, I can't say that I'll ever want to buy a Microsoft console simply because they've got it in their heads that they want to DRM us to death. Sony wins by default for me.

PS4 all the way, despite always had every sony console, I still think it has better exclusive series, better controller and better service, and the 'no loan game policy' and the 'always online policy' that xbox one is carrying just makes me sad.

I have been a PlayStation fan since I was a child and have always chosen it over the Xbox. Recently, the Xbox has been catching up to the PlayStation but I do not think they are there yet. One thing the PlayStation has always had was free online game play where the Xbox charged $50 a year. If Sony starts charging for online game play I may be tempted to try the Xbox for once in my life, but as of now I am a Sony fan still.

I know to play most online games you need a PS Plus subscription. But I think I read first-party games will be free to play online.

Just one of many reasons why the PS4 is better, free to play ARE free to play, not hidden behind a paywall like microsoft's so called free to play games.
Not just that but you can still go online without PS+ on PS4,not with the Xbone though.
