I would go ps4 to receiver via hdmi. Then from the receiver to the tv. You can try it multiple ways to see what works for you.

Did you like the sound on the ps3? the same set up would work for the PS4 but your best bet is to upgrade the receiver since it only accepts rca and no optical in or hdmi. Then do the PS4 to the receiver then to the TV.

Hey Shoop, to see whats downloading you want to go to the notifications icon on your ps4. From their you'll see downloads which is the 4th one down on left. All your current and finished downloads (even their status) will show up in that area.

Tack on the fact that the developers probably need alot of time to even figure out the best way to use these things. Its a learning process for them as well.
