    PS4 launching with 17 games

Holy crap, I loved Flower! One of the most beautiful, simple, and original games I've ever played. I have to wonder if this iteration will be a simple port or if the game has actually been improved on. If I had one complaint about Flower it would be about the short length. The list is pretty...

"Never Buy A Console At Launch" Video

This is pretty much my approach, to be patient. The game selection will exponentially grow within time, and in that time it will hopefully become affordable to me. I can see the appeal of getting it on launch day, but it's not appealing to me.

Do you still use your PlayStation 1/2 ?

I still play Final Fantasy VII once in a while, but technically I play it on the PS3. Beyond that, I would have to say no. I did play Raiden the other day, that game hasn't aged poorly one bit.

Do you own all three systems?

Had a Wii and a 360. Never bought the PS3 because of its price, and by the time it became affordable I figured I already had enough consoles. It may have been a mistake, as some of my favorite games of all time have been Sony exclusives. But with the PS4 now being cheaper than the XB1, I could...

How Long Have You Used The Playstation Network

I loved the fact that it was free. I played a lot of MAG over the course of one summer. I didn't own the game nor a PS3, but since PSN was free signup I had all my own achievements/KDR/progress saved. Having to pay for XBL was a huge deterrent in my experience with the 360.

Why are PS3 games incompatible with PS4?

They had two choices: include backwards compatibility and up the price, or do what they did. They had past experience with the PS3. It fully functioned as a PS2 console, but the launch day price was astronomical. They got slayed out of the gate by Microsoft and Nintendo because they overpriced...

    Best Racing Game

Crash Team Racing was huge. Classic cartoon-style kart racer with lots of replay value. Gran Turismo is probably the best though.

    The Last Of Us

It's one of the best games I've ever played. I really appreciate when a game succeeds in every aspect it seeks to achieve. Intense storyline, incredible visuals, and original game play make it pretty much the greatest zombie game of all time.

Most replayed game of all time?

Must be Magic Workstation for me. It feels like a lot of wasted time though. At least it's free. Of all time....that's a tough one. Can I go with Super Mario Bros 3?

When Will They Stop Making PS3 Games?

Well, FIFA 14 is coming out on PS2 (which I didn't actually know until today). So if I had to make a guess, I'd say PS3 games would be in production all the way until they release the PS5.

    Should consoles be upgradeable?

You won't find many PC gamers who would switch to consoles if they had parts you could upgrade. You won't find many console gamers with the capability of building their own gaming machine. Upgradeable consoles wouldn't be very sensible to either demographic. The Steam Machine could change this...

    Stories in videogames

A great story is often what separates average games from fantastic ones. It feels like something is at stake; it feels like there is a real reason for playing, and that you have to take extra care to ensure the safety of the main character (even if dying just means a checkpoint respawn). If you...

Where's the best place to buy retro games online? (PS1, SNES, etc.)

Wii has the Virtual Console, giving you access to a gigantic library of retro Nintendo games. I've used it to play quite a few games on the cheap. For PS1 games the options appear to be much more slim. Try eBay or Amazon, you will get a good deal if you don't mind shelling out a little extra...

    Rayman (PS1)

Wow, so this is what Rayman was like before the Raving Rabbids series, huh? Funny that the first Rayman game I ever played had no real connection to the universe. Raving Rabbids was fun as heck though, felt kind of like a Mario Party type game. I'll have to give this a try, I love platformers.

Gamestop Managers get Free PS4 + 7 games

Wow, those are some managerial perks. I wonder how my manager friend at EB Games feels about this. Hopefully he gets a little something for the hell that is about to break loose in the next two months.

    1 million+ pre-orders on the PS4

That could use some evidence to back that claim, not that I necessarily disagree. Because believe me, having Battlefield maps a month earlier is not as good a selling point as being much cheaper. I do believe, at this rate of pre ordering, PS4 could very well hold the crown by the end of Christmas.

    Has anybody pre-ordered the PS4?

Not me, no. None of the launch day exclusives really jump out at me. Besides, I'm the kind of person that would wait to see a price drop rather than pay the full amount. When that time arrives, a whole bunch of games will have been released, giving a lot more reasonable insight into a decision.

    Your Favorite PS Character

I really like Snake as well. I had played very little of the MGS series before Smash Bros Brawl was released. After playing that game (and liberally with Snake), I felt compelled to play the first Metal Gear Solid. It was really cool! I feel like his inclusion in Brawl stayed very true to his...

    Favorite 'Rockstar Games' titles?

GTA V or LA Noire. They may seem like obvious answers but they are a part of what makes Rockstar Games great, particularly Grand Theft Auto 5. Red Dead Redemption was cool but I didn't play it that much.

    Did anybody play Tekken 4?

I played it a little, it didn't take long for me to give up on it. Back then I thought Yoshimitsu was the coolest character. So I tried to learn to do his move set, but I just couldn't execute any of the complicated commands. I'm not sure if it was Tekken 4 specifically or just the series in...
