PS4 vs. Xbox One - The Ultimate Showdown!!!

XBox did change a lot of what it had originally said, but even with that, the PS4 had outsold it with preorders. (I can try and find a source on that). I think in those first few weeks, the attention on the PS4 had made a lot of people switch over. I'm not sure if the Xbox can catch up at this...

Buy Physical or digital copies of games?

I also prefer digital copies of games, but I have been recently buying a lot of games available only by download. I think I'll keep doing this. Physical games can be traded or sold a bit easier, lent to friends, etc. But if there's going to be a price difference, I'd look at downloading.

Anyone planning on getting both the PS4 and XBOX One?

I'm going to stick with the PS4 first. There's more exclusive games I'd like, money is tight, XBox Live has never appealed to me. That's where I'm at now. Wait until a few days or weeks after launch, and my opinion may change based on feedback of gamers.

    Favorite 'Rockstar Games' titles?

RDR, hands down. GTA games are excellent, don't get me wrong, but RDR blew me away. I can pick it up years later and still be enamored with it. There are so many little things I love about it. Little details that I forgot about or didn't discover until the third or fourth play through...

Beyond: Two Souls only got a 6 from IGN

It takes a certain mood for me to be in to appreciate these games. Thankfully, when I played it I was. For the type of game it was (little interactivity, lots of choices -- see Walking Dead, Heavy Rain, etc.) it was excellent. Graphics were stunning at some points, even if controls or movements...

Batman: Arkham Origins to have multiplayer

I can't imagine how multiplayer would possibly go, or how much they can diversify it to make it interesting. I guess most online games are just giant fights anyway (GTA V anyone?) but that's kind of all this game is. Is it going to be engaging enough? It'll be interesting to see.

    Latest Purchases Thread

Latest purchase (like many of you) was GTA V. Not bad, pretty impressive, and online has been very entertaining since it got up and running.

    The Last Of Us

I honestly thought all the praise it got was well-deserved. It had an engaging and emotional story, but didn't sacrifice that for entertaining gameplay. Not only that, but it had one of the best endings of a game I ever remember. Compare that to what's often popular. I know this is comparing...

Does WiFi give you a headache?

Yeah, I think this is a placebo-like effect. Were wi-fi able to give you a headache, you couldn't go anywhere these days. Think about it. Even if they're closed networks, they are everywhere -- restaurants, hotels, coffeeshops, just about any business or neighborhood you find yourself in has...

Do you own all three systems?

I only own a PS3, but I have the other two systems in the house (room mates) should I want to play them. To be quite honest, I only pick them up sometimes. I probably haven't touched a Wii controller in three years.
