Yes, you can play on the same team as your friend in a franchise mode. I'm not sure if you can do that online with a friend though. It depends on what version of the game that you buy. Each one might vary.

A lot of times these console makers will sell the units at a loss and hope that the sales of the games can carry them through the initial rough period. It looks like this won't happen with the nintendo wii's. There's just not enough quality games to justify purchasing their hardware.

My phat PS3 would overheat a lot in the final third of its life. The fan would become super loud and actually be an annoying distraction. It served as a nice heater in the winter lol. They should have waited to develop the slim model before releasing the console.

They should venture into virtual reality gaming. They used to be on the cutting edge of the technology. Remember virtual boy? That was pretty interesting for its time though it turned out to suck from what I read. Or they should buy up a bunch of software developers.

I just got through playing a game of NHL2K8 on the PS3. I was the Phoenix Coyotes and my buddy was the Vancouver Canucks. I won 4-3. Shane Doan got a hat trick. We modify the rosters to represent today's rosters.

I played it on the dreamcast but it was a frogger remake. Is this the arcade version? Or was it the one that was remade with 3d graphics. How about George Costanza mastering the game on Seinfeld? Funny episode. Did you know that his middle name is Louis? That's what I was just told...

I'd like to see how they improved the game compared to the previous version but I am not that psyched for it to be honest. I remember trying to play the last few NBA 2k's online and there was terrible lag. How in the world did Xband have little to no lag back in the mid 90's and today's game...

I have read that madden 25 does not have significant improvements. They've brought a few functions back from previous versions of the game but that is not something to consider an "improvement". In terms of what they could add to the game that would be new, how about being able to challenge...

I am worried that it will only be one year. I'm sorry but even 2 years isn't much in my opinion. I'd prefer a much longer warranty that is available for a consumer who will pony up an extra 50 to 100 dollars. My prediction is that the warranty is for 12 to 18 months, maximum. I think they...

That is a little bit scary to me. Is there anything that we do on our smart phones that is not monitored and cataloged? Why do these corporations and governments have to know every last detail about our lives? This better be an optional feature because I don't think I want this to be turned...

We need more clarification on the details of the game. Is English your first language, original poster? I know that Madden allows online franchises for multiple players where you can play against other people in "regular season games". What sport are we talking here?

As ridiculous as it is, it does have us talking about the game and that is what the developer/publisher desire the most. Buzz by way of word of mouth. Will anyone not purchase saints row games out of protest of this stunt? That would be funny if there was an organized boycott and it...

I've been waiting for this type of technology for what seems like forever. I really think this is the future of gaming. There is a virtual reality headset featured on one of the season 2 episodes of the sci fi series Continuum. That spurred my mind and I began thinking about the days of...

Meh. I'm not really that into graphics. For me it is more about the gameplay and fun factor. Remember the fun you had when NES first hit the scene? Even SNES and Sega. Those graphics are so bare bones but the games were so much fun! Hell, I still play Lemmings, Mario Kart, Mario Brothers 2...

Inter-thread spin: do you feel as though you are losing your identity with your video game addiction? That's sort of what I thought that this thread would be about before I actually clicked it. I used to play games for 6 to 8 hours a day and I feel like I was losing my identity at that point...

I really enjoyed this game when it came out. It put stealth games onto a new level. I got through about half of the game and gave up though. I didn't have the patience to stick with it. I guess I had ADD as a kid. I really should bust the game back out of the closet and finish it one of...

I agree on Hitman and Silent Hill. How about Crash Bandicoot? I think that would be sweet. Or even destruction derby. That would be awe inspiring to play in HD. Obviously, metal gear solid would be epic in HD. I want a Suikoden in HD as well. Imagine the graphics for those gigantic...

The last game I tried out was Persona 4 at a friend's house. I would give it a solid 8 out of 10. The graphics are nice, as usual, the story line is worth your attention and plenty has been changed to make it a respectable sequel that has its own identity, separate from previous Persona games...

OK, it is official. I have terrible luck with Playstation 3 consoles. I can't believe that almost everyone I've asked still has their original Playstation 3. That's probably because most everyone I've asked had bought the slim version of the console. The big problems are with the phatties...

How juicy that they are going to beat Microsoft by a week. This is sort of like two gas stations opening right across from one another on the same street within the same week. I'm going to be buying both consoles but I wonder which one will do the bigger numbers. What do you think? I have...
