    Signature Conditions?

There were only 4 options there before (Edit Profile, Edit Profile Picture, Edit Avatar and Profile Privacy) but now there is a fifth (Edit Signature). I guess there was a post minimum for it?

Storytime with Ron Gilbert - PAX Australia 2013 Keynote

So while I was at PAX Australia a few weeks ago I was able to attend the keynote presentation by Secret of Monkey Island designer, Ron Gilbert, where he discusses storytelling in video games. The speech was really inspiring because I'm an aspiring game developer, so I urge you all to give it a...

    Renaming

Not going to lie, I love the pun but the name we have now does sound a lot more professional so I suggest leaving it as it is. *Flees so she can buy the domain name*

    Signature Conditions?

Hey guys, I was reading the rules and they seemed to suggest that I can add a signature but I cannot find the option in my Settings. Is there a post count minimum before I can add one or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks, Fanta

Steam Love it or hate it?

My love for Steam is almost solely due to the sales. I also love how there is so much competition in the PC digital space that you can buy keys from other sites (GMG, for instance) and then just redeem them on Steam. Like somebody said earlier, if it weren't for these I simply wouldn't play PC...

    Your Favorite PS2 game

Although I technically played it on PS3, my favourite PS2 game is Jak II: Renegade. I was originally unsure about it because they completely changed it from the Banjo Kazooie formula of the first game but it eventually grew on me and I just loved all the freshness the game offered.

    Ask Fanta

Haha I still haven't played them. They're both in my I-will-play-them-one-day-I-swear Steam list. 1. So they can communicate. 2. The wind blows because the air is moving from a different areas of pressure in the Earth's atmosphere. The higher the pressure the air is moving through, the faster...

    Ask the RAWK

Don't worry, I wouldn't even consider cooking for someone voluntarily. What consoles do you own?

I like salad sandwiches more than salads, so definitely going for that. I have no issues with peanut butter, but I just prefer the other. Especially if there's tomato, ajdhvushfoudf I love tomato. Technically Nordic Games bought Darksiders, Red Faction and MX vs. ATV from THQ for $4.9 million...

    Ask Fanta

Yeah, the Zelda-y games are my favourites and they're the ones I want to make the most, though they would be terribly difficult to do without a team of people. I'm not sure how many of my fellow peers would also like to develop such games.

    Wanna Fanta, Don't You Wanna?

That's what artists are for! What about a tabletop RPG like Dungeons and Dragons? That will let you make puzzles and stories without needing to worry about drawing anything.

    Wanna Fanta, Don't You Wanna?

This topic is better than my introduction anyway. :P Well, if you want a storytelling thing then I'd suggest try out Ren'Py, which is a visual novel engine. That way you can develop little visual novel stories (Ace Attorney, 999, etc) that can also have game-like aspects, like different story...

    Ask Fanta

Perhaps that was also me? XD I'm still studying at the moment so that takes up most of my time but when I get the chance I like to play around in Unity. The genres/mechanics I really want to develop are: - Adventure - Puzzler - Action - RPG - Visual Novel (most of these fall under...

    Ask Fanta

I'm not sure what is so girly about the name Fanta but yes, I am a girl. XD Also, yay, this is, like, the first time I've joined a forum and haven't had somebody presume I'm a boy.

Can you name one female gaming protagonist who is not sexy?

Kazooie? Unless you want humans specifically, in which case, maybe Hat Kid from A Hat in Time? The game isn't out yet, though. The only one I can think of from a Playstation game is Ellie from The Last of Us.

Ask the all-knowing me about the questions of the universe. Feel free to make your own Ask thread as well because they are hella fun.

    Wanna Fanta, Don't You Wanna?

Thanks a bunch for the welcomes, guys. Hey, there's no reason why you can't start and try and learn the skill. :3 I find Game Maker to be really fun to try out in the early beginnings, then you can move onto something like Unity/UDK when you want something with a bit more polish.

    Animal Crossing: New Leaf

So, who's got it? How are you liking it? We should totally organise some meetups on it. Maybe we'll go watch a KK Slider show, or something. :P My villagers so far are: - Diana - Sly - Kiki - Tabby ...others I'm forgetting. I'm really loving all the new stuff you can do as the...
