A new Resident Evil game for the PS4 and X1?

Rumored New Resident Evil

New Resident Evil game in the way, According to Ahsan Rasheed “Insider”, Information about New Resident Evil coming soon “Rebirth” or “Remake”.

What do you guys think it's going to be if this is indeed true? A remake of the original Resident Evil, or maybe a reboot of the series? Whatever it is, I don't want to see a remaster of Resident Evil 6.

Oddly enough i'm thrashing through resi evil 4 HD at the moment and loving it. Got revelations and resi 6 after that ( i've played resi 5 a lot )

Looking forward to a new resi game though for next gen Evil within is a new game made by the director of resi evil i believe

Although I'd love to see a remake of Resident Evil 2 from the ground up, I'd have to say we're going to see a reboot. You can't do a Resident Evil 7 because RE6 was such a huge disaster. Rebooting the series like studios reboot movie franchises could pay off in a big way. Don't even call it a spin-off. It should be marketed as a reboot that brings back the zombies and modifies the gameplay to something that's once again survival horror at its core.

Does anyone like how I gave my opinion and preference, only to be immediately wrong when the RE1 remake was announced?

I'm quite excited to see that they are releasing the Resident Evil remake again. It was exclusive to the Gamecube which I never owned. It's one game that I really wanted to play because of the PS1 original. I saw some of the new remastered shots and they looked fantastic. Can't wait for it to release!

All I've seen is 'Early 2015' so far, so that could mean January and then again it could mean something like April... However, it's 'digital only', so bad news for people like me who prefer physical discs and don't 'do' or have an account for this online gaming business. Whenever I do get a PS4, I may be forced into this malarkey just so I can get a copy. I really want it.

(According to another particular source about two months ago, the PS3 version was meant to be out in time for Christmas but how true that is I have no idea. I very highly doubt it - anything half-decent with an expected Christmas date is ultimately put back. It's been that way for almost as long as I can remember)
