For those that had the PS2 slim, did you guys use any additional fans for cooling? When I first bought the slim, I was told that the slim heats up so much so quickly, I should plug in external fans to help cooling.

I did invest in the added fan for the PS2. I don't know how well it worked in the end because the disc laser ended up breaking.

My brother used an extra fan after hearing about the problems with overheating for the Slim. I couldn't tell you how well it worked either, at the time we got it as a precaution.

I used a fan for my Slim and had no problems. I got my PS2 Slim some time after hearing about overheating PS2 Slims and just decided it would be best to nip it in the bud just in case.
