Most of the games is like its own universe. So, not really. The series itself needs to be understood from the first game - you understand that you are in a simulation - kinda like the Matrix, but the difference is, its a time machine of sorts.

That's Assassin's Creed.

If you ever had a chance to change time, by killing off Dictatorship in that time period? That's what this story is about. You are playing the role of the guy who will kill the person who killed Odin. Or at least avenging his death.

I have played this game on PS4. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is one of the best multi-platform games. Apart from PS4 and PS5, you can also play this game on Xbox (X and S series), and Google Stadia. These days I play this game on PC.
