Battlefield Hardline beta impressions

So,what do you guys think?

I had a quick play last night and while for a beta it looks good Im not sold on the cops 'n' robbers theme.
It plays like Battlefield,feels like Battlefield,menu's sound and set up's etc but as I said,its very odd for it not be military themed.
EA are brave to try this,but I dont think it will appeal to everyone,Im sure some seasoned BF players will still like it,and some defo wont.While it may attract new players too,perhaps thats what they are hoping for.

You could almost say its just another BF game reskinned with cops and robbers outfits.People complain CoD games are always the same and well...Im not saying Hardline is the same but well...you get my point.

At the moment I prefer BF4 over this and at this point in time Im not sure if I will buy this,for the MP or even the SP campaign.
Its not bad by any means,Im sure many will love this,its just I dont really like the cop 'n' robbers theme they are going with here with a BF game.

Ill have to play some more though and see if it changes my mind.

Dunno,to those that have the beta,please share your thoughts too.

Pretty much agree with everything you said Oberon. Granted I only played a couple rounds of multiplayer, but it just felt like bonus DLC for BF4. Nothing is a step forward for the Battlefield series. It's not even a step back it's just staying put it seems.

Yeah I got in yesterday. I've played up to level 7 and I've gotta say it's pretty much the same thing as BF4 outside of a few minor nuances like the gadgets and the cops/robbers theme. Outside of that, it plays pretty much the same and there's not really anything new to warrant replacing this over BF4. The whole destructable sandbox FPS approach fits much better with BF4 than Hardline anyway.

I am not going to give it a go. This annual iteration just pisses me off. I mean, just give these teams some slack and freedom to create something new instead of doing the same thing over and over again. But what else can you expect from EA? They are masters of sabotaging well-established franchises.

Beta last until the 24th FYI

But yeah, this game isn't worth $60 to me. I'd pay like $40 tops. Too many reused assets that makes it feel like the same game (menus, attachments, sounds).

Also, has anyone had sound issues? Sometimes explosions or reload sounds don't go off for me. It is still a beta though.

Yeah, I read somewhere that they are reusing a lot of stuff from previous Battlefield games. But then again, what else can you expect when there is so little time to create something innovative? Can't blame the poor devs. Blame EA!

Yeah, and Visceral is a story focused studio anyway. I know this game is a filler until Battlefront or the new Battlefield releases, but it feels WAY too similar to BF4 and is released WAY too soon after it. That's why people are up in arms over it. It's an obvious cash grab even though it's a fun game.

I guess it's more like battlefield 4 : police edition. There's really isn't much difference. The biggest difference i experienced is driving. Driving is so much fun. Apart from that i don't think there is anything new. Like many said its just like a dlc. So I don't think its worth buying.

Played the beta, and honestly cant say I would spend more than 10 bucks for it. It isnt new an innovating. It pretty much on par experience wise like Bad Company 2 and Vietnam expansion ... it's different, but its not really different.

Everyones saying it's like the old Battlefield... I guess I won't pick it up since I was already bored of Battlefield anyways and if it's not that different, it's not worth it.

I was actually very impressed with the Hardline Beta,It plays overall funner than Battlefield 4 and seems less buggier.
