Battlefront has Fighter Squadron mode

That is my favourite part of the game so far. Brings me back to when I had Tie-Fighter and X-Wing the old PC games, which I loved!
Spent more time in dog fights then on the ground. Wish there was some sort of story mode to go through single player. The only place I hold my own right now is in the sky, though I am getting a bit better on the ground.

By far the best part of the game. Just like you it brings me back to the X-Wing vs Tie Fighter games I used to play on PC. They need to make one of those again!

They could just add to battlefront, would be great to do some battles in space, astroid fields and all that. I like the flying mechanics. Wish there was more to the flying, some different games, or objectives, the same two maps get repetitive fast.

Same here. I am still learning how not to be killed 100 times in 1 session, but hey, it's fun! LOL!! :grin

This is the only mode in Battlefront where I generally sit in the top 3. Getting better with the other modes, still killed more then I kill, but not as bad. Still wish there was more maps and a story mode. Give me some space battles!

No idea what the secret is, maybe the countless hours I lost playing Tie Fighter and Xwing in DOS ages ago 
Was actually looking to buy those old games on steam, but looks like they are full of problems in a modern OS (Win 10).

This game can be a little bit frantic sometimes, expecially for a man at my age... but it's really well made and very fun. With the split-screen missions, I am playing it in co-op with my son too (11yo), who's loving it as well.

Is this is the single player or mulit-player?

The split-screen mode works only with missions and is a local multiplayer. Means that your mate sits with you and you need two controllers to play.

Have not tried the split screen mode, it is a plus though when I have friends over. More enjoyable to play with them then to watch each other plate. Would be nice if it supported 3D play where you both see full screen when wearing the right 3D glasses.
Could never get this to work on my 3D Panasonic TV, but it works on 3D LG tv's.

It's fun but personally I find difficult to play only with half screen, splitted horizontally. 0:

Yeah,Dual Play.
Was hoping Black Ops3 supported that (Black Ops2 on PS3 did) but it doesnt.
You can still do it but its not optimized so screen is stretched so not the best.
Havent tried with Battlefront buts would be same effect.

However I did read any Passive 3D TV should be able to do it too.
Glasses are basically 3D glasses but one set has 2 left lenses and the other 2 right lenses so the idea is it blocks out the other image.
Doe work quite well if the game also supports it in its graphic settings.
I agree. Though this is my favorite game mode, I wish there were space battles. They had it in Battlefront 2 back 10 years ago and it was stupid fun to play online shooting at Rebels in a TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor or bomb a capital ship in a TIE Bomber. Though they got the essence of what it used to be like with Fighter Squadron, there could have been soooo much more they could have elaborated on. But hey, there are a few expansions coming out so we'll have to see
And if not, you know this isn't the last Battlefront EA and DICE are making. We make our voices heard and they'll add things like space battles.
