Can Dragon's Crown revive the beat em up genre?

Back in the 80's and 90's, arcades and home systems were home of many beat em up games. But as the era of disc gaming began, they started to fade off as well as the arcade's demise. Up until recently, the genre had long been forgotten. But now, with the coming of Dragon's Crown, the once forgotten genre can possibly be revived.

I doubt it'd be revived in the terms of a slew of games in the genre being released.

but maybe the creators will work on some sequels, and that would have to suffice for the entire genre.

My mistake, I gave the impression that Dragon's Crown was alone when in fact Double Dragon Neon is available. I know it's not as big as Dragon's Crown, but it's still something

So far, both games seem to have been successful. So hopefully other companies make the attempt
