Can I Update a USA PS4 in Europe?

If i buy a PS4 from USA, i can update software in Europa?

You can update software in europe, but it will continue to be a american update, and you could only buy things in the american store, only by using an american credit card, and while 99% of developers don't have region lock on their games, there will always be that one smartass that actually outs serverside locks, which will prevent you from getting an european game to run on a american console.

I thought it was region free. This might be a problem with certain Blu-Ray movies, but games I thought should have no problem. I could be wrong.

i know, games have no problemes cuz its region free but i talk about machine software.

The PS4 is not region locked so you should be okay however I think that games are different. Anyway you might want to wait until the next batch comes out or even the European release because a lot of the problems will be fixed by then. The current PS4's are having the usual launch day issues and I personally don't want any part of that.

Take care sometimes it could crash or something could not work properly. Like updates and downloads.... and sometimes just little things
