If there's any company which I would like to acquire Capcom, it better not be Nintendo. Don't get me wrong, the Mega Man series on the NES and SNES were absolutely the best games at that time along with Street Fighter. This does not mean that I am for Nintendo acquiring all of Capcom though, since all of Capcom's properties will eventually become Nintendo's to the exclusion of Sony and Microsoft. I would rather have a third party buy Capcom's stock, and the first companies I would want to acquire Capcom would be Namco Bandai, Sega Sammy, or Square Enix. SNK/Playmore would appear to be a far less viable choice despite having collaborated with Capcom in the past. Other companies which crossed over with Capcom, such as Tatsunoko and Marvel Comics, are more or less red herrings. Konami is another company which has yet to merge, but I don't think Capcom will ever want to be shortchanged. If you recall, Konami once entered into a agreement with Takara, but both companies didn't profit much from their deal and they parted ways. Takara later merged with Tomy to form what is now Takara Tomy. Capcom would obviously take caution from this.
