Capcom's Legacy

I love the Capcom games and find they possess a certain quality only few game developers can hope to attain. From the Street Fighter series, Mega Man, Resident Evil and the Devil May Cry series and countless great vintage titles like Bionic Commando and the arcade classics 1942 and 1943. I really could go on forever and fill up this whole page with the games that are great that this company has made. So my question is what is your favorite Capcom game? My favorite game is Final Fight a side scrolling beat em up game that was repetitive but insanely fun and extremely challenging, running a close second is Mega Man 3. What is yours?

Never was into the famous Street Fighter games so for me probably the first 3 Resident Evil games on the PS1...oh..and Code Veronica on PS2 was Ok too.

So if you were not into Street Fighter, what fighting series do you prefer Oberon?

I got hooked on fighting games because of Street Fighter II and it progressed to the Mortal Kombat's and then to me the best fighting game series of all time Tekken. I probably fed more quarters playing Tekken 3 in the arcade than I remember, the evolution to 3D fighting with 2D style controls added a depth to fighting games never seen up until that time. Namco won me over and from that time I have always looked forward to each entry in the series.

Back in the Sega MegaDrive (Genesis) days I preferred the Mortal Kombat games.I had MK 1 and MK2 for that and then with PS1 I had MK3,MK Trilogy and MK 4 then also got hooked on the Tekken games,I had Tekken 1 and 2. Then on to the PS2 I got MK Deadly Alliance,MK Deception and MK Armageddon and Tekken Tag Tournament.
But since I got PS3 my interest in fighters has waned. I still got MK vs DC Universe and MK9,not much else really.
Have been playing the free Spartacus Legends lately too though.

Seeing how they managed to ruin every single series that i loved from them, i guess we really only have the old titles. I guess i would choose either Devil May Cry 3 or Devil May Cry 4.

I choose the Devil May Cry series. I have all the games in this series and I love each and every one of them. I have played and beaten the first one but I am still playing the ithers. My favorite character is Dante. I think he is so cool. I like his wiseass attitude as well. I think he is the best character in the games. My nephew likes Virgil. He thinks he is better. We always differ on that but we both love these games so that's ok. I have to admit that it was my brother who got me hooked on this because I use to watch him play it and I wanted to pkay it too.

I've forgotten that Devil May Cry was made by Capcom, but now that I think about it some more, I remember him being my favorite character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So, yes, I'd agree that Devil May Cry is probably my most favorite game as well, with Street Fighter as a very close second. And as far as Capcom's legacy goes, I think their place in history has been well insured just by Street Fighter alone, of course as well as Megaman, but I think SF might be more widely known.

I agree that Street Fighter is more well known than the other capcom games out there. They have made a lot of games from street fighter and I see them making many more street fighter games as long as it remains popular. I think that a lot of their games are good but like I said earlier Devil May Cry is still my favorite series from capcom. I like street fighter and I do still play it but I play DMC more.
