Catherine?

Has anybody played Catherine? The story is what really draws me towards wanting to play this game. The puzzle aspect just looks ok.

If you've played it, what do you think of it? Is it worth picking up if I find it for cheap?

It is one of my favorite games this generation and of all-time. The puzzling is actually pretty difficult and can get frustrating, although fun.

Go buy it. Or, in the least, rent it. Play it somehow.

It's one of the most purely strange games I've encountered. I read the back of my friend's disk case, which didn't really explain much. I had to watch him play the game just to see what it truly has to offer. I was reasonably impressed at the cut scenes. The feel was kind of off-putting but other than that I can't think of a reason why you shouldn't get it.

It has the whole "This is wrong, but feels so right" thing going for it. I guess that's why people are unfaithful in their real life relationships too.

Though just as in life, you are given choices. Do not think that you are being forced into this cheating relationship with a woman, it is deeper and more mature than that. On the whole the game presents a philosophy and puts relationships in perspective.

The story is what pulled me into Catherine! It's like a sweet nightmare that a guy wishes to be into but regrets to afterward. I was so tense when Vincent was dealing with his, well relationship with Catherine. I kinda related to some of the situations. Lol. For those who have not played it yet, get it. Gameplay is good but the story is superb. It has suspense and mystery and some funny moments along the side. Genius.

It's an excellent game. Great story, great gameplay, fantastic music, amazing graphical style.

Yeah, definitely worth it. Though I kinda called out one of the plot twists before it was revealed, but that's just because I love Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei series and consider Catherine a spin-off of Shin Megami Tensei.

This was an odd game, I kind of liked it. If you aren't into games that don't change much, this isn't for you. The whole thing is essentially the same. But I really like games I have a choice in -- where I can choose to be bad or good and it has an impact on the end result.
