Dark Souls 2

Hey, I didn't see any threads devoted to Dark Souls 2 so I don't know if I'm late for the party.

I played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls thanks to a friend letting me borrow his PS3 for a while. Am I missing a really amazing game by not playing Dark Souls 2? I loved the first two installments to the point of practically memorizing those landscapes.

Any non-spoiler details anyone want to share with me about the game to convince me to... *ahem* persuade my friend to let me borrow his PS3 again so I can load up Dark Souls 2?

I mean, I stopped following it after it came out since I didn't want to spoil anything but up until that point it looks absolutely amazing. Like a fairly huge improvement on an already awesome series of games. I really hope it didn't fall flat.

Well If you loved the first 2, are not bored of the franchise, and have time and money to play Dark Souls 2, I don't see why you shouldn't! I haven't played it yet, but I think the fan reception has been very positive.

Some people are disappointed by certain things but, generally, it's been loved by Souls fans. I personally think it's better than the previous game in various ways.

Definitely play it if you loved the previous games.

I've been trying to stop playing on 360 while I wait for the PC version but it's hard to stop, even without online.

Same, I'm waiting for the pc version as well. Really, I need to finish up the original Dark Souls. This game looks awesome but I'm a tad bit disappointed that there are more humanoid enemies in this one, I liked all the monsters and weird stuff like the mindflayers in Demon Souls.
