Destiny Gets a Release Date + Beta Details

If you're eager to play Destiny and you had hoped for an early 2014 release, sorry to say that will not be happening. Destiny, a game launching on the Playstation 4 will be released on September 9th, 2014. The beta that many people are eagerly awaiting for is slated for a Summer 2014 release date, no true date has been confirmed but you will be able to enjoy the game and even help the developers, Bungie and Activision improve the final product and have some fun while you're at it!

Until then, enjoy other amazing games soon-to-be-released and the power of the Playstation 4. Are you looking forward to Destiny and what's in store for the entire virtual universe? What are your thoughts on the release dates of Bungie's Destiny for the Playstation 4 game system?

Man, that is such a long ways away....but that's what I figured a fall release. I'm super excited. It will probably end up taking over my life, much like Skyrim did. But, hey, at least this time I'll have friends.

You can also buy beta keys online if you dont fancy pre ordering the game just yet to get access to the beta,they are usually only a few $ if anyone is interested.
The beta play is supposed to be available early 2014 for PS4 and PS3.

I am beyond excited for this game on PS4! I think that it is really going to become a staple on the system and I am so glad that PS4 players will be able to access the game before anyone else. Between this and planetside 2, these are the games that the consoles really needed. They offer such a unique experience and it's something that exclusive console players haven't really been able to experience up until this point. I can't wait to see where this game goes!

I'm holding back on my excitement for Destiny even though I am happy about it. I just don't want to be disappointed by it if it isn't the hyped up wonder that I've made it in my head. So far everything that I've heard is very encouraging so I'm going for it but I'm trying to be realistic about it.

This is gonna be the game I buy a PS4 for if I don't have one already. But I can definitely see my girlfriend not being very happy with me for a while after I buy this

I think we're all excited for Destiny because it sounds amazing. But there are plenty of games that I've gotten my hopes up for and been crushed when I realized how bad they truly were. I'm hoping that Destiny doesn't shape up to be a giant dissapointment but so far the news has been positive. The only thing that I'm worried about is how much money their spending.

I'm loving what I'm hearing from Destiny right now. And I really want this beta to be a success. I want to hear nothing more but good things from this beta and that Destiny is a major success. The only thing that I'm worried about is the fact the money their spending never is a good sign.

This is going to be one of my top games for 2014. I cannot wait to explore this world. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard with all the amazing things being revealed about this game. I'm curious to see the leveling/progression most though. Hopefully as the release date gets closer they will release more info.

Although I owned both a PS3 and 360 last generation, I was more aligned with my 360 so it will be really weird now since I plan to get this on my PS4 and not XB1. I've thought of Bungie as a MSFT developer for so long it'll take a while to get used to the fact they aren't.
