Do People Still Play Rayman Games

To be honest I haven't played a Rayman game since playstation 1, and even then, I had to be super bored and not currently playing something more interesting, I don't know even back then the games seemed so childish, I was really surprised to hear they are going to continue with the franchise...

I've not played one since the first one either and I don't remember much about it, which says a lot. It's all about Spyro, Crash, Res Evil and Final Fantasy from that generation.:D

I play. Pretty fun platformer actually. Basic mechanics but the levels are really detailed and beautiful. It is relaxing to play, has some (borderline) adult humor, and the gameplay is solid. I actually recommend this game for anyone who likes platformers. It can get pretty challenging and really addicting.

To be honest, I'm not really a fan of platforming games with a few exceptions.

I really do enjoy Mega Man X the most. It's a shame the franchise (or rather, the IP as a whole) is being kept in a dark basement. I wish I could program things the way I want things to work so I could just make an underground version that I would just blatantly call X9 and hope Capcom doesn't notice.

Back to Rayman. It's one of the few franchises in the platforming genre that I've ever found myself playing to the very end. By the time I get to World 2 in a Mario game I've just lost interest. Same thing with Final Fantasy and other RPG games; I get to the final boss battles and I don't finish the game.

Rayman is just a really whimsy game with the directions it takes. I like how they've incorporated a sense of rhythm to the platforming in Origins' Tricky Treasure levels, and now in Legends with not only the Platforming Hero stages but with the Challenges mode in general.
