Do You Think the Devil May Cry Reboot Will Be As Succesful As The Original?

Capcom has gone a new route with the Devil May Cry franchise, stating that the hugely popular Video Games was just not realistic enough, the new DMC features a redesigned Dante, sporting a white patch, on a head of black hair, where once a head of White bangs once flourished, the storyline has become much darker, and Dante a much more cocky and foul mouthed brat. Even his lineage has been altered, where there was once a half devil - half human hybrid, there is now a devil-angel, or "Nephilim". I've played it and the game play is fast paced and full of action, while the banter lacks Danter previous funny wit, he now just tells people to F#&k off...

I don't think so. The first game was just truly unique and at the time it was one of the first of its kind if not the first ever, whereas nowadays we already have hoards of similar games and it's forcing this sequel to keep up with itself. It's still a pretty good game, though, and I can only hope that I'm wrong and that they soon make a version that can equal the old one - since it is one of my most favorite titles ever.

I hope they go back to the old humorpus style and much more rewarding combat, honestly. DmC tries too hard to be dark and serious and the combat is too easy making SSS ranks a joke.!
