DualShock 4 electric wires (red and black) broke, what to do?

Opening the controller is the first step to custom modification, which I do frequently. You can easily solder the connections back together with a $20 soldering iron from RadioShack. There are plenty of videos covering soldering on YouTube, which will guide you along the way. I started this way, and now save myself $$ because the parts that frequently wear out are fairly easy to replace cheaply. If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me!

If you can find a RadioShack anymore. Most are closed down (all by me here in Jersey are). Just buy one on Amazon. I'd imagine they'd be cheaper there anyway, and better quality. In my experience, quality at RadioShack has taken a steep nose dive in recent years anyway. Shame because in the 90s, they were the shiznit if you needed anything.
