EU PSN down for scheduled maintenance on Monday

Sony has warned EU PlayStation Network users of planned maintenance to the service that will result in temporary downtime on January 27.

The downtime is planned to affect services for around six hours, from 5.30pm to 11.30pm GMT (6.30pm to 00.30am CET). Those who may want to play online games during this time are urged to sign in to PlayStation Network prior to Monday, January 27.

"If you've signed in to PlayStation Network any time since 20th January you will be able to play games online and access partner apps such as Netflix during this maintenance period," explains Sony.

How often are these maintenance shutdowns? Moving from Xbox 360 to PS4, this is quite alien to me
