Final Fantasy XIV not coming to Xbox One | Expert Reviews
Event though many assumed that Final Fantasy XIV wasn't going to land on a Microsoft system, it was never something that was actually officially confirmed. It seems the reason for this is all because of Microsoft. While Sony allows Square-Enix to run serves that will enable PS3, PS4 and PC owners to play together, Microsoft doesn't allow for cross-platform play. So with that in mind, Square-Enix decided not to release the game on a Microsoft console as they didn't want the game to be divided. That definitely makes sense and I can't blame them for it.
