Global Reveal Conference (All you need to know on MP)

Derri

, , Darkness, ,
This was the entire MP conference that'll probably answer or give you an idea on all this MP.

It looks fun, but the skill gap is going to be too large I think. People that can't play the game 10 hours a day are going to get crushed, so they are going to lose some casual gamers.

I'll be buying it, but don't expect to be very good at it.

I was feeling like this was going to be a fresh COD game, but once they showed the multiplayer, that killed it for me. Just a rip-off of Titanfall with a COD coating. Hopefully the campaign will be somewhat decent.

Ive never much cared for CoD campaigns,MP is the meat of the game on these.
I do play them, just to get them over with mostly. Most are only average.
However I am looking forward to the SP campaign on Advanced Warfare. Well they did say: "Near photo realistic visuals". This HAS to be for the SP campaign as the multiplayer vids Ive seen dont look near photo realistic to me. :noidea

You and me both! Ugh. All I can see is Titanfall and bits of Halo. Why am I not surprised?

Doesn't look like COD at all..... It's lost all the charm of a good COD game. It now looks like Titanfall 2: Crysis Returns or something. Don't get me wrong, it'll probably be the more enjoyable COD in the past 3 years but still, it has lost what it once was. Mechanics look all Titanfall like and the things you can do like invisibility just screams Crysis.

And if it was many would complain "Its the same old CoD again" You can can't please everyone all the time.

I think its CoD,with enhancements. Im sure I like all that super jumping about either from the vids Ive watched but I have'nt experienced it myself yet so perhaps when playing you may find it works well.
We'll see.

I agree that people complain either way but this is just alienating the game. It is too different now. Obviously that could be a good thing but people who left ages ago won't have a big reason to return. The jumping mechanics aren't revolutionary as they are pretty much saying and it sure as hell doesn't look balanced. Will have to see though.

I think the big problem a lot of CoD fans are having right now is that yes it is finally something "new," but that "new" is essentially Titanfall.

I can tell from the videos that it is nothing like Titanfall. Sure, one of the new movements is a form of double jump, but there are far older games that had double jumping. Why is it all the sudden anything with double jump = Titanfall?

Why is it all the sudden anything with double jump = Titanfall?

Because it has fallen out of style for so long, rarely even appearing in platform games and almost never in an FPS. Titanfall is one of the only prominent FPS games in many which has double jumping, and if all of a sudden lots of games start appearing with double jumping, people are of course going to look at what started the recent trend, not the first time it was used 25 years ago

So by that logic, any FPS game is really just COD or battlefield.

I think they've put there own spin on it. I mean you don't have too much you can add to a MP FPS game that's 'Advanced Warfare' themed other than things like Jumping and gadgets. And they did say this was in development for around 3 years.

Again, it doesn't look that good and original, but I always want to give it a try... Maybe because I enjoyed Modern Warfare a lot...
