GTA V digital preorder or physical?

Hey!

As you know it was recently revealed that you can preorder GTA V from PSN and pre download the game so that you can play it as soon as the clock strikes 12 and it's 17th.

So it left me in a dilemma to decide if I should preorder it from PSN or physical.

Both have their pros and cons.

The advantage of preordering it digitally is of course you can play it right away as the clock strikes 12, however you won't get the game box and map/poster.

The advantage of preordering physically is of course you get disk and game box along with map/poster but you have to wait till the game gets delivered/you pick it up.

I ended up preordering the physical version as I really love the boxes in my library and the map is amazing as well.

So, how are you preordering it?

You got to go with the physical copy, or don't you want to feel the great smell of plastic from the game of the year? And that box needs to be on my shelf next to my other games!

Physical copy. Always. The only times I will purchase a digital copy of a game is if it is a really good price or hard to find.

I would go futher and say only digital if I have no choice,or..its free :o (Like PS+ full game downloads)

Also:
How often have you seen the digital version cheaper than a hard copy? And I dont mean retail down the shop cause we know us Aussies get ripped off locally,I mean cheaper than the internet,be it online shops or ebay/amazon.

Don't people buy digital versions because they are supposed to be cheaper? What is the point of not having a physical copy if you're paying the same amount for it?

I have to go with the physical copy merely because I don't want to wait a million years for the download to complete. There's nothing more frustrating than watching that completion bar hover over the same space for 20 minutes at a time. I'd rather put the disc in and hit the ground running.

I always go with a physical copy. I can wait for the delivery, but hopefully it won't be too long for GTA 5. I have actually found a cheaper price than the PSN store as well so that is another reason I get the physical copies of the game. Also if you want to share that game with your friends, you can do so with the disc easily. The only time I will buy a digital copy of the game is if it was cheaper than a physical copy. I guess I like the new game smell as well.

Eh, physical. I like having hard copies of my games around, rather then being someplace on the web where I pretty much have no control over them if something were to happen.
Plus, I have taken a liking to Rockstar's..."unique" way of doing their paperback manuals for their Grand Theft Auto games.

For sure. Love their manuals, well their GTA and Red Dead manuals. Max Payne 3 just had the standard one.

I'm definitely getting a hard copy. A great game needs to be put in a tangible case. I've already preordered and only a couple more days wait.

I will go with Digital this time.
It costs about the same because we got pretty high taxes here, so that affects the games also. I could always order them from other countries however then I would have to wait even longer to get it.

Though I haven't pre-ordered it yet because I don't have any money currently, But I would prefer Physical over Digital. Although my choice is directly influenced by the amount of money and time I need to waste for it. Digital download is available for $60 while physical delivery is available for only $50 in my country. Also, my internet speed is really slow so it would take me a lot of time to download it.

I wish there was a price difference between physical and digital versions. I'd be more inclined to go all digital if there were.
