Hail Sithis! Hail the Atom! (General Bethseda Discussion)

So earlier this week it was revealed that Fallout 4 had been reserved for use. Usually when we see this happen with games--such as Square Enix recently reserving several titles for potential Dragon Quest games--it means a new game is somewhere on the horizon. In the Bethesda Trademarks "Fallout 4" thread, there were some ideas as to what we'd like to see in a potential (I say inevitable) Fallout 4--jcannon suggested a setting of Boston or San Francisco while HydraForce mentioned vehicles.

I find that gamers tend to come up with some pretty cool stuff when it comes to building a world that would be fun to play in--especially with a game that is incredibly open ended and encourages exploration like FO or TES. So what else what you like to see in Fallout 4 should it be announced?

Personally I'd like to see pockets of a location where it's still pretty much bustling where a settlement has managed to thrive over the decades. Also multiple world maps. Like say its an east coast FO, you can have what's left of NYC and its large map then catch whatever overland transportation and head to Philly. I want to believe that it would be possible to do a map that can be traveled in-game and on foot/by vehicle on the PS4, but I guessing that since there's quite a bit of distance between Philly and NYC, maybe something that transitions between the two maps would work similar to the carriage in Skyrim or that giant bug in Morrowind.

Vehicles

While it would be minor, I'd like customizable vehicles. Similar to GTA San Andreas' vehicle customization or honestly any racing title. Set it up according to what you feel you need: speed, power, weapons, etc. I believe you should have to scavenge for parts just like when you craft your own weapons. If you car vehicle becomes damaged or runs out of fuel it'll stay where you left it, but you can return to find that it has been salvaged for parts.

The likelihood of it being stripped depends on where you leave it and how active certain groups are in the area. Hell, it might even be destroyed and tagged as well. There would be certain parts needed for a vehicle and the extras you put on it. If you have saws or knives on the fenders or wheels you'll need to find those. Grating for the windows? Go find it.

Weapons
I'd also like to apply this to weapons. Make it more organic. You have blueprints, but some basic knowledge of simple weapons and trial and error would be cool. Sometimes it might make junk, you might get a highly effective weapon, or you could get a weapon that isn't...practical at all really.

With weapons it would depend on your effectiveness with certain weapons, your repair skill, and maybe science and determine how long it would take to craft that weapon. The same would apply to building and fixing a car. Your repair and science skills would come into play as well as some weaponry skills.

Sorry that was so long, but I actually have a bunch of ideas for different games in a .txt file :p

Usually vehicles are put in a game it's more of a "Here are vehicles. Don't get greedy" thing. I'd love to see some customization of potential vehicles. I really liked that the vehicle could be salvaged for parts if left unattended for too long. Seems like something that would happen in FO.

Really liked the weapons idea. Even though it's basically the same as vehicle customization, it works. Especially with there being an amount of time in which the weapon can be built.
