Has anyone here played the original Shadow of The Beast?

I wasn't even born when the original came out, and I never heard of it before the announcement of the remake at Gamescom. I checked out some gameplay of the original on youtube, and I was very impressed with the graphics and especially the soundtrack. It has a really funky, new age sound.

Keep in mind this came out in 1989. Pretty cool stuff.

Well I did have it on the Sega MegDrive (Genesis),think it shipped in box with the console,also had Columns game.Some shipped with Sonic.

Well, there is a version for the MegaDrive, but i think the original came on the Amiga, so the original came out even sooner. And i got to admit, i didn't knew about the series before the announcement, let's just hope it's good.
