If you havent used speedtest before its simple.
When you first go there it will automatically choose the server with the best ping and you can then click begin.
Try again on save server for possible slight variation. This usually gives you the best result.
However I suggest try the same location but diff servers.It will vary results again. Perhaps slight lower or higher ping but download/upload speed result will vary too.
Next try a diff location,then diff servers from that loaction (if there are any).Obviously if you choose a loaction further away results will get worse.Try a diff country for eg.

Also results may vary depending on time of day/congestion eg so try in the morning,afternoon and night too.

So again,usually the auto setting it picks is will give best overall result.

Here's mine. The results I chose was my overall best.
It was taken at just before 10am my time.
I am on ADSL2+ and still have quite low speeds etc.
