Is AC4's Multiplayer Fun?

Haven't played an Assassin's Creed game since the second one. I heard the single-player of this was fun. But I'm wondering how the multiplayer component was. What are the modes? Is there lag? Is there a leveling system?

Yes, it is fun. Not sure if I recall any lag. There are a handful of gamemodes but you will most likely be playing a capture-the-flag or a sort of team-deathmatch where you have to hind, blend, and assassinate the other team. Or capture the flag, which works the exact same way. The online uses the same mechanics as the single player except you are able to disguise yourself as NPCs. Ultimately you want to try to act like an NPC to fool the opposing player and then assassinate them. This explanation is lackluster, but I assure you it is better than I am making it sound. I cannot say if people still play, however. There is a leveling system as well... errr cannot recall how it works. xD

There's no lag...I've yet to find any lag on the PS4. And yes it is fun, especially when you have some friends and microphones, but that can be true of any game I suppose. The levelling system I found to be pretty underwhelming, as for game modes, I only play team deathmatch and capture the flag, which have a pretty obvious mechanic but with the addition of all the usual singleplayer querks like blending in and hiding.

I haven't yet, but after reading some of these comments, I think I'm going to at least try it. I kind of brushed it off as something similar to zombie mode in Call of Duty for whatever reason. But, I'm missing the game enough for various reasons that I'll give it a go, regardless of how underwhelming it may be. I can't bring myself to complete all of the side quests like chests and animus fragments, so this is the perfect option - thanks for reminding me about it!

Does someone still play AC BF in multiplayer? I do, but it's very hard to find fellows because (I suppose) it's an aged game.
I really like the Wolf Pack sessions, played with a bit of strategy and patience (impossible thing to do with unknown players).

I still play Black Flag MP a lot but generally speaking I'm a manhunt kind of guy or wanted. I also play Artefact Assault as well.

I used to play it on Xbox, but now I'm on PS4 so I had to restart from the beginning. I'm still an humble level 20 player and yesterday, by playing Artefact Assault, I've been killed 18 times without touching any artefact. The problem is that, since it is a dated game, I only meet people with prestige degree and high level so...

Is anyone still playing ACBF in multiplayer? Well, I am :grin
