I don't remember this happening to me but then again I have long periods of playing and then not playing. Apparently the last leap year caused a problem where the network wasn't working correctly due to a glitch. Did anybody experience that?
Are we coming up on a leap year? I never have any idea. I don't recall experiencing this bug but I don't use PSN all that often. Do you know what went wrong - were certain games unavailable that should have been, etc?
I've heard about this problem before (on another forums), but never actually encountered it myself. I suppose it is possible that Sony has already found out about this glitch and is working on fixing the issue.
I'd forgotten about 2012 being a leap year, but you're right. If there were some bugs in February 2008, they've had almost four years to come up with a fix. Maybe it will be like the Y2K issue and everything will be ironed out.
No, I didn't experience anything but at the time I wasn't a big player. I think that this time they have had plenty of time to fix issues but you never know. The network was hacked into several times so sometimes they overlook things.
I wasn't playing on any Playstation the last leap year so I don't know about any bugs. I'm thinking that there will not be a bug just because 2012 is a leap year. I would think that they would have figured it out by now.
It seems that it only affected consoles that were purchased after 2009. And when this bug happened, it caused problems even if you were trying to play a game offline. Microsoft had a similar issue once.
