Lords of the Fallen is 1080P on PS4/900P on Xbone

Oberon

, , The Enforcer, ,
Lords of the fallen is 1080P on the PS4 but 900P on the Xbone.
But apart from the resolution difference the dev claims there is no diff between the two.

I know some people dont care,I know some people do.
So there you have it. :grin

Let's be honest here, how many of us even knew/know what this game is? I had to Google it just now.

The whole resolution thing doesn't really matter much. Unless you have the two side by side and have a microscope, you can't really tell the difference between 1080 and 900. (Unless you have a huge huge TV)

I watched that trailer and this game just seems kind of slow, the story seems interesting enough though. I might check it out in a year or two when there's a sale that has it at less than $10.

Also, forgive my ignorance, but why does the Xbox One output it at a lower resolution? I don't know much of anything about the Xbox, but I thought it was comparable to PS4 in terms of hardware.

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the PS4 is more powerful hence why everything is at a higher resolution and higher frames per second. But the Xbox One is improving according to this article: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/ps4-more-powerful-than-xbox-one-but-microsoft-alwa/1100-6421940/

Well if you have a choice would you still rather play a game in 1080P or lower res?:grin

What size would you say is huge?
I would say if you have 37" TV and above 1080P is worth it,just like blu ray movies.

I can't exactly remember what size my TV is. I think it's around the 107cm range.

That'd be a 42".
Like I said,37" and up I think is where you 1080P starts to be noticeable over non full HD.

Oh, I see, that's very interesting, I always thought they were pretty much the same. I read the article but I don't see how Xbox could improve short of releasing a new console. The hardware is already in the console and it's not going to change, it would be the equivalent of downloading ram. I'm pretty sure he was just talking it up so people would look at it differently.

While you can make arguments about 30 fps and 60 fps, you can really see the difference between 1080p and not 1080p as screen size and viewing distance increases. The game seems interesting enough, although I can't say I knew about it before this post. The difference between 900p and 1080p won't be too noticeable, so it's not like this really matters much. The Playstation 4 is better in the performance department, but it's not a huge, huge difference.

Regardless,in this day and age the new consoles should be able to display ALL games in 1080P and 60fps.
Its pretty poor that in some case they just cant. That's pretty poor on Microsoft's and Sony's part.I mean it was 2013 when the were released, this isnt the 1990's.
They should be able to do 1080P and 60 fps on all games should they want too.Simple as that.

I bought it on D1 and played for one hour or so. Played it again a couple of days ago for three hours. I will sell it as used game soon.

What I find good:

-Wide choice of weapons / armors
-Quite interesting upgrade system for weapons, armors, etc.
-Good graphic, good lighting
-Good music, good sound effects

What I find bad:

-The combat strategy is just a jump and hit, jump and hit, jump and hit
-Character movements are slow and heavy
-No translations for the speech
-No weapon collisions against walls
-AI is quite ripetitive, the enemies will soon look like clowns
-There is no map at all, nor a mini-map, nothing
-No custom save point available
-Annoying blur effect all the time

My vote is: 5/10

-edit-

Sold it!! :grin
