Microsoft may extend free Xbox LIVE Gold games promotion beyond Xbox One launch - Halo 3 for Xbox 360 News

At E3, Microsoft announced that Xbox Live Gold members would begin receiving two free games up until the release of the Xbox One. Now it seems that may longer be the case, as it looks like they may try to extend the program beyond the launch of the Xbox One. This could begin to be something that is similar to the way PlayStation Plus works. I'm still wondering on what kind of games they will be offering as the games announced at E3 are pretty old, while the games received on Plus are very up to date. guess we will see in a couple of months.

Funny enough, my gold subscription ends right about the time the Xbox One comes out. It's a good idea, though, since it kind of makes me want to renew my subscription (though I was thinking about it anyway). I guess we'll have to wait and see what titles they release in the next couple of months or so.
