MOBAs

Hi all,

What do you guys think of MOBAs? There are really popular in the pc gaming circles, Dota and League of Legends.
Do you think they can be transformed to consoles? I mean Diablo 3 functions the same way as MOBAs and their port to PS3 was pretty good (at least that's what I think)

I wonder if MOBAs have a place in consoles, if not then why is that?

How does Diablo III function as a MOBA? At any rate, MOBAs are... OK. As it stands current MOBA conventions are not intuitive or engaging enough for me. The future holds a lot of potential for the genre, however. Battleborn is supposedly a console MOBA by Gearbox, the makers of Borderlands; it looks absolutely incredible.

The perspective of Diablo 3 is similar to MOBAs. The gameplay is similar as well, in my opinion.
Battleborn looks amazing! Oh my! I can't wait to put my hands on that jewel!

Yeah, but the isometric perspective is a Diablo staple. Do you know any other MOBAs that are good, or great even, but are not entirely well-known to people outside of the MOBA scene?

Blegh, Too many games in one genre that play nearly identical and yes I recognize that the FPS genre has become the same way. I don't like that anymore than this..

I love League of Legends. It's pretty much the only game I play right now. I can't imagine MOBAs on consoles though, primarily because of the awkward controls. But maybe that's just me.

Well, yeah. You are right. MOBAs and FPSs are similar in that regard of production. Same thing with some different graphics. Blizzard is working on a new MOBA and TotalBiscuit said it is different and perhaps better.

Neat I guess.. besides the larger variety of maps it doesn't really look to be anything special..
