Hi folks. I've just joined this wonderful forum.

I came very close to reserving a PS4 with Gta 5 from argos but I did a little research and a couple of things are stopping me.

Firstly I have a PS3 which is now my go to machine for pretty much everything, except the Internet browser as it's just pathetic.

I have picture folders uploaded from my camera, music files sorted into folders and videos also in various folders. With a few presses of buttons I'm able to load up a photo album stored on the system hard drive and flick through the pictures of our holiday snaps or whatever all while sitting back on the sofa and viewing them on the biggest screen in our house. And it's a similar story with videos and music.

Moving to the PS4 would be amazing but it's gotta do what the PS3 can do and from what I can find out searching the Internet it doesn't do any of that. I understand however that there is a supposed update to bring these features to the PS4.

Is this update close to being released or released already?

If it can replace my PS3 in the ways I need it to then I'll continue with my reservation and collect it later today.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

Sadly, although it will definitely be coming, the updates you wish have no release date :( Which is a darn shame as many of us are waiting for those features too!

Thanks for the warm welcome and replies guys.

That's a real shame. I guess I'll just hold off until these updates are released. Perhaps by then the price will have dropped a little more too.

Does it even have the ability to play videos, music and open pictures stored on a micro sd card inserted into an sd adaptor which in turn is connected to the PS4 via a USB card reader?

Music I think you can on a USB. That came in the last update.

Videos and pictures not as yet.
