I don't think you'll have problems with your PS4 overheating as long as you don't cover it in magazines or something like that. Just make sure it has some free space around it so the air can ventilate. I think Sony did a great job with their ventilation system compared to the XB360 or XB1, those 2 can easily overheat and that's also another reason I never bought them. I would also recommend heading a fan or something similar in the direction of your PS4 in case you live in a really hot area, since that highers the risk of it overheating.
