Nook Color

Does anyone have the Nook Color? It seems like you only hear about the Kindle Fire, but how does the Nook Color compare, especially in terms of content available and prices?

Nook is Barnes & Noble and I think the e-books available are pretty good in terms of content available. I think the price is fair but from what I hear the Kindle Fire is a full on tablet so I think if you are looking for more than an e-reader, that is probably what you want to get.

I don't have one but I was thinking of getting one. Most of my friends have the Kindle though - so I'm pretty sure I won't get a Nook. Can you trade books with other Nook owners?

I do not have an e-reader, but my sister has a Nook color. I know she can use wi-fi on the Nook Color, and download Apps. She downloads books too, of course. I do not hear much about the Nook Color, but my sister seems to enjoy hers.

Can you trade books with other Nook owners?

I don't think you can actually trade books but the Nook does have a lending feature. You can lend somebody an e-book for 2 weeks and then it shows back up in your library. It's easy to do and it's one thing I really like about the Nook. Not sure if that's available on the Kindle though, it might be.

The Nook Color is an awesome device. It's a combination of e-book reader and tablet. It can be used to surf the web and play games. The only bad thing about Barnes & Noble is the fact that they are not available worldwide. I think they only sell books and e-books to customers from the USA and Canada. Well, what are the people from the other continents supposed to do?

S-gamer, I have not used the Nook Color at all but from what I hear it is not really considered a normal tablet. Would you say that's true? Do you think it is comparable to what the Kindle Fire is supposed to be?

If you can access the web and play games in addition to using it to read books, the Nook Color sounds comparable to the Kindle Fire. Maybe Amazon is simply doing a better job of marketing its device.

Does the Nook Color have an app store? Does it have sufficient memory? Can you access your email easily and efficiently? I like my Nook but the Kindle Fire sounds more like a tablet to me based on what I'm hearing. The Kindle Fire has more than just internet access and games.
