Play by yourself

I just got my PS4 that came with this game. I was playing last night. Do you have to play this game with mult-players or can you just play it by yourself? If I want to go the multi-players, play with other route. What do I need to do?

SWB is mainly a multiplayer game but you can also play some missions in single mode. There is no way to play in single mode any of the multi sessions, while you can play missions also online, against a friend of yours, or locally with the split-screen mode.

The multi game in SWB is not really an option because the whole game is multi player based. As a single player you have only a tutorial and some missions, but the core game is based on multi (such as Destiny, for example).

Yeah. This game was designed at a multiplayer game only with a few single player missions you can do. I was a little disappointed about that, though they did say that was going to be the case while they were developing it so it's not surprising. I only have played the single player missions on launch day to get me familiar with the game.

You can play split screen or over the PSN network with a friend with the single player games, but honestly, it's very limited and IMO not very fun.

The split screen mode starts automatically when you play with your mate on the same console and the screen is splitted horizontally.
You have human vs AI with some single player missions (also if played in two with split screen mode) and in multiplayer if you fight in the flight combat mode, where your enemies are both real players and AI players.

During missions, you can choose it before starting a new session.

This game is on sale right now on the Playstation Store. I loved the graphics, but am more a single type player so doubt I am going to get it.

Not really a game for single player. I myself prefer solo play games, but this is a rare exception. If you do have PS+ you might find you like it. It is not like Call of Duty or those games, seems a bit easier. The graphics are indeed stunning. The game does get a bit repetitive, wish there was a bit more variety, especially in maps. As good as it looks, it gets old fast playing the same places over and over again. I do love the flying in this game, even though there is only one type of game, it is still amazingly fun. Again, great game, needs serious expansion.

Defo not really a game to get if you play single player only.Unless you have heaps of money and dont mind.

Im usually a big CoD player (though didnt like Ghosts much)max prestiged in AW and as usual got the next CoD,Blops 3.
While the game seems fine Im just not into it,maybe I expected more or Im just tired of CoD for a while. Infact so much so I sold my copy.
Im playing Battlefront instead. Granted,in terms of unlocks and progression its not as deep as CoD,rather limited,I guess to make it more accessable for all players but for fun factor alone it blows any CoD out of the water.Also much better in terms of graphics than any CoD so far on PS4 as well.

And yes,Fighter Squadron mode is damn fun.
