PS2 was ugly compared to PS1

I was so disappointed when the PS2 console came out. It was so big and bulky and also lacked in style. I was not impressed with it at all.....anyone agree?

I actually liked the big and bulky PlayStation 2. Besides, I think that it has a better design than the original big PS1. In any case, I don't really mind the look of a console. As long as it has the ability to play a lot of excellent games, I don't mind. The PS2 had a lot of brilliant games in its library. That is why it's one of the best consoles of all time regardless of its physical appearance.

Wait wait wait.
The design of the console itself or the console as a hardware piece? Because yeah, if you are talking about the design, i agree with you, but as a console, i think it's one of the best, specially because of it's library.

For me, the design of the console doesn't matter, but rather it's the library of games which is important. When it comes to the design though, I prefer the PS2's bulky design over the PS1.

I like the PS2 design more as well. I felt like the PS1 design was too bland, and too small for me to keep. I like bigger consoles, the bigger the better.
Not only did I like the design, but the games I played many games on it that I still remember today like Spyro.

Also, when the PS2 slim came out, I never really liked how it looked. It looked cheap and felt like it could easily break. There's no problem if a home console is bulky since you won't be carrying it around anyway. It would just stay here in the bedroom or the living room.

I think the PS2 looks okay, I prefer the ability to slide games into the machine than to have to deal with flipping a lid like on PS1. I think it would have been nice to see the PS2 a little more compact, but I'm not going to complain ;)

There is actually a more compact version of the PS2. It's the PS2 slim and it also had a flipping lid like on the PS1. I think that the PS2 slim was more prone to damage as compared to the bigger version. That's why I preferred the bigger one much better.

Right on. My last PS2 was a slim version and it's broken now. My PS1 even outlasted it. I definitely prefer the games on PS2, though. I love the smoother and the sleeker feel.

I liked the PS2 design a lot more than the PS1. I know it's bulky, but at the same time it made it look a lot more serious and less like a toy. The only thing I don't like about it is that it was heavy, but I wasn't really going to move it around much anyway, so it was okay with me. I'm not a big fan of how they design consoles anyway, none of them really ever looked too good, in my opinion.

The PS2 and PS1 are not eaxctly the most attractive looking consoles. I have always thought that systems like Xbox and Nintendo has superior presentations. But with that said, the gameplay for the Playstation consoles are superior to the other consoles in my view.

The PS2 was really weird looking, but I only ever had the PS1 slim console. As a matter of fact, all three PlayStation consoles I've had were the slim versions, but I'm not sure why. I think it's probably because I bought the consoles later than most people because I was waiting for the price to drop. I also appreciate the fact that the newer versions are a bit more refined, so there's a plus.
