PS3 keeps deleting my saved data?

So this has happened on and off during the past year. But lately it seems like every save data I have deletes itself.

For example: I just repurchased GTA V (last time I played it was maybe November last year) and all my saved data has been deleted even though I haven't touched a thing! Same goes for more recent games I've played - Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands, etc.

Anybody have any idea why? Thinking of giving the PS3 a hard reboot (restore to factory settings)

No,dont recall my PS3 deleting save data but Im quite sure it did delete game data once before.
It was for a CoD game a while back,forgpt which one,dont think it was install data but DLC (maps). Anyway,I sold the game and went to free up some HDD space and delete all data for it then I found it was all gone already.
