PS4 not 3D compatible???

Yes, it was announced pre-release that there would not be 3d capabilities at launch. They may add it later, but for launch they were entirely focused on gaming, not entertainment.
 
All the more reason to keep my PS3 plugged in.

I can understand and approve of the PS focus on gaming over entertainment, but I don't see the reason for a step back from the also gaming-focused PS3.

I agree! Its ashame I dont have my ps3 anymore. I traded it in towards the purchase of a ps4 :/ womp womp womp
 
Really? So you mean we can only play 2D games on it? Just kidding, gee that was a horrible joke. Anyways, yeah that was announced before, well you still have your PS3 right? I'm not much a fan of 3D so I don't mind it really but still, you would think the next generation of consoles would make these features a permanent.
 
I could swear some game I played (maybe Trine 2?) offered to display in 3D. But I declined because my glasses were across the room..

At the time I completely forgot that was something the PS4 isn't supposed to be able to do..Did I imagine this? I must investigate..

Btw I never played any game in 3D when I had PS3. As for bluray movies, every bluray player does the job perfectly.

It may have said 3D but I think upon further investigation it would say the system couldn't find the support for 3D.

Only game I've played in 3D was Doom 3 on ps3. It was pretty neat but definitely don't wanna play too long. Major headaches lol
 
I really would like to see support for 3d in the future but its not a deal breaker for me, I always turn down the 3d on my 3ds. Bad headaches suck except for a few games.
 
When I first heard that the PlayStation 4 did not support 3D I was actually a little bit shocked. I found it weird that the PlayStation 3 supported 3D, But the newer PlayStation 4 did not. I think Sony might have noticed that no one really likes 3D and that it is a dying fad. Maybe if enough people ask for it they will add 3D support, but even then I think Sony will stand by their decision.
 
What??? :mad: .. Never knew that! . I thought ps4 is better than ps3 in every way. Ps3 was released almost 7-8 years ago and its 3d compatible, ps4 isn't? This doesn't make sense! :noidea
 
PS4 isn't better in every way anyway. I can't watch video files from usb on PS4 like I could on PS3. Another reason to keep the ol' fatty plugged in.
