PS5 HDMI Connection Issues

Hello All,

When I purchased my PS5, I had an LG 70UM69 and it worked like a charm for those years even though I traveled with my PS5 almost monthly and it worked in all sorts of hotel rooms for me during that time. Recently, we put the 70" in storage in its original box (yes, my wife gives me a hard time for hauling that one, the 75" and the 55" with me everywhere. I spent the last 6 months in our apartment up North playing it on our LG 55" UM72 Series HDR Smart UHD TV. I just got back home the the 70" for the first time and I cannot get the two to communicate with each other.

You guys are not the first I am calling on; yes, I tried MULTIPLE different HDMI cables. Even some out of packages. I tried making sure each and every one of them was plugged in snuggly. I tried making each was plugged in snuggly to each port on not only that TV, but two other ones. So, I took care of the basics after dealing with this for some time.

I did see that someone suggest that I go into safety mode. Now, while I tried that, it didn't do me much good since I couldn't see the screen. I did not want to move anything around and mess up my current software.

This really has me perplexed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If a bluray player works on that panel, the PS5 should as well. This would show you the panel's HDMI board is good. Anyway, if the panel's inputs are solid, perhaps some of the PS5's settings were changed for the last panel you worked with. Re-connect to the one that works and check the video output settings. Make sure that it all looks good. Try AUTO for the output resolution, then try it again on the panel that is not working correctly.

You know the 5 works... you know the one panel works so what's the difference between the two displays? Resolution? Gotta be a reason why the two are not talking to each other.
