Question regarding ps4 audio output?

Ok so everything I have read is that the ps4 will not support analog audio output. I ask because I am hooking my ps4 to a projector that doesn't support audio. From what I have read the dualshock 4 controller has the ability to output audio using the 3.5mm jack .... if that is the case then the ps4 does support analog audio output.... So my question is do you think If I connect my bose computer speakers into the ds4 headphone jack that they will play sound?

My guess is no. You might luck out and get some sound but I doubt it would have much volume. If however you were to run a line to your PC from your controller you should be able to make that work with little to no problem. Good luck

I also had the intention of doing the same thing with my PS4. The Dualshock 4 provides for the possibility to use the 3.5mm output jack for audio sound in-game.

The doubt I have is that I'm not sure that the controllers offer quality sound.
It would take out for it.

Then the PS4 an optical audio output that might help. If you find a converter, it is possible that it is possible. The problem is that I doubt that the sound arrives at the same time as the action screen.

Finally, there are HDMI to analog converter. I think it can help you, but I do not know whether your projector can take the image with the analog output.

Good luck with your problem.
The simplest solution is an HDMI display.

Yea I am not sure I ordered a sound bar from newegg... that was refurbished that had two optical inputs, I was just planning on connecting my pc and ps4 to that for sound.,.... but unfortunately the package was stolen yesterday from my porch so I had to fill out a claim with fedex not too happy about that..... Sucks they just don't have analog out on the ps4 oh well, but my theory is if I connect a speaker to the controller I would think the in game audio should sound just as it would if I had headphones on .... guess I will find out on the 15th. Going to be pretty pissed though if I have my ps4 and no audio.

Btw after using a projector for the past 5 years of my life I can never go back to a tv.... funny thing is 1080p projectors are cheaper than most TV's its a small market ... but between gaming and watching sports after you get used to a hd 125 inch screen you simply cannot go back to a tv.

I don't think the audio will be a big problem for me. I mean it really won't affect how I play games on the Playstation 4.

The idea of using the audio outputs on the controller to get an analog signal is interesting. I guess it depends on whether or not the audio outputs on all of the controllers all the time, even if they're not being used for the game. It could get kind of annoying, but it's better than nothing if you don't have something that supports the built-in outputs.
