Resident evil series on the PS4?

Resident Evil is one of my favorite horror game franchises of all time. It offers a lot of jump scares and intense action which make it a lot of fun. But after RE 6, the series went quiet. Is there any news if the series would be continued on the PS4?

I haven't heard anything on another Resident Evil. The Evil Within is done by the series creator and is coming out from Bethesda. It's supposed to be more like true RE getting back to the survival horror roots and away from action horror.

It probably will, but there's been no announcement yet. Like ^ said, there's still The Evil Within coming soon. They actually released a new trailer a couple days ago. I actually don't think the game looks great graphics-wise but if it has the same atmosphere and gameplay of RE4, I could care less. It's slated to be released August 29.

Yeah Evil Within looks crappy as far as graphics are concerned, but the atmosephere and gameplay look promising.

RE went south after RE3(some people say 4, but after ditching zombies, it no longer is resident evil).
I hope if there is another resident evil, they go back to their routes as survival horror, than following CoD as their model.

I just looked up The Evil Within at YouTube and saw a couple of gameplay videos. I checked out this video first:

It looks like Nathan Drake was plopped into the world of Resident Evil. I don't have a problem with the games graphics. It's very moody and atmospheric and extremely scary.

Wow, didn't know about this game. Looks interesting but it also reminds me a bit of the last Alone in the Dark game which sucked big time.

This game looks amazing. I don't believe I never heard about this game.

For the Resident Evil series. I was a big fan until the forth. It was a big disappointment, so i don't expect anything from Resident Evil. So maybe they work secretly to suprise people like me. I will be glad if it is the case .

I doubt it. Capcom isn't a fan of pleasing and surprising unless you like smashing zombies with a bunch of ridiculous weapons, buying the exact same fighting game with a few new characters, or killing zombies in high octane action style. Other than that, you can hope you get something you'll like from Capcom.

I can see RE on PS4 probably in the next year or after that. The series is guaranteed to at least have one game on the console.

Capcom isn't a fan of pleasing and surprising unless you like smashing zombies with a bunch of ridiculous weapons, buying the exact same fighting game with a few new characters, or killing zombies in high octane action style. Other than that, you can hope you get something you'll like from Capcom.

So I can't have Breath of Fire on consoles or handheld or a recent Mega Man or at least a new Final Fight?
