Rogue Trip vs Vigilante 8

Rogue Trip and Vigilante 8 were both supposed to be cookie cutter clones for the Twisted Metal series. In short, they should have been knocked out by Twisted Metal. But what they did instead was the opposite. Rogue Trip and V8 wiped the floor with Twisted Metal 3. They simply were just damn better. If you would out these games side by side, who do you think would win?
