Should I buy music unlimited for $42

I don't understand what you mean. What service offers unlimited music for $42?

I just use youtube. I add my favorite songs to a playlist which I always put on shuffle mode when I play it. I tried out spotify when it first came out and was pretty impressed with the volume of songs that they had. Even if I could pay $42 for unlimited music I don't think that I would when almost everything I want is available on youtube. You can download an ad blocker to prevent advertisements from popping up at the beginning of each song on your playlist.

$42 a month? or a year?
A year could be a decent deal if you access it anywhere and there's no ads.
However, I do what amazingone does, I just use Youtube for all my music needs, you can even find full albums there and live shows.

I think that dantheman is referring to Sony's Unlimited Music service. I don't think it's worth it, as I can just listen to music on YouTube if I don't want to actually buy the album.

No. I wouldn't spend a dollar in downloading music when I can just go to a certain site and download all the music I want, in FLAC. Haha

But in terms of supporting the artists, I prefer buying their albums in our local music stores in here.

I agree with what this guy said. Unless its really hard for you to listen to music anywhere but your PS4 then you should probably go to a "certain site" to download them. I also know of a program that converts youtube video files into a .mp3 which is pretty cool since youtube is usually good at having the music i want. If it was for my car or something id definitely just go support my favorite artist and buy a CD.
