Still remember Vagrant Story?

Square has produced a lot of quality games for the PS 1 and I think I played all of them. One of their more unique titles was Vagrant Story an Action RPG hybrid with full 3D graphics and engrossing story. It featured Risk Breaker Ashley Riot as he is tasked to investigate the mysterious happenings at Lea Monde. I thoroughly enjoyed the combat and the weapon/Armor creation system. It was one of a kind.

Man, i am still a little sad that Square dropped it as a series. I love the gameplay, the setting, the characters, the soundtrack and the story, i would totally love a sequel on the PS3.

Yeah, I wonder why... Was this game a dud when it was released? I know that it was a darling with the game critics. They praised it for being unique and for being beautiful. My only gripe about the game is that I thought that there would be, like a town or something where you would be able to interact with NPCs, etc. Nevertheless, it was a fun fun game.
