Swapping save data

did anyone else swap save data with your friends on PS2. If you did can you remember how exactly because I just have hazy memories of putting two cards in at once while one friend was on the controls and the other was ready to quickly remove the memory card whilst feeling very clever like we had hacked the system or something stupid like that.

I never tried it. Never really understood the rationale behind swapping saved data. I chose to keep my saved data to myself and the saved data of others far away from me. And I can say that I managed to get along with the games pretty well. No cheats, no save swapping gimmicks, nothing (well, except for GTA: San Andreas)..

I don't swap any save data, in fact I never tried doing it, or even asked. The truth of the matter is, it all depends on trusting the other side. If you can't trust the person to handle your save data, he will likewise have the same issues as well. If you really want to swap save data, it is best if you have backup copies of the data in case something goes wrong.

I swapped data with a friend of mine back when I still played the PlayStation 2. I had completed a good amount of the storyline to Grand Theft Auto on his PS2 before I bought the game so I swapped my saves to my card. I didn't want to have to do all the missions that I had already completed all over again.
